The Times-Colonist this morning has front page news that “Victoria home sales deliver an upside surprise.” Good news all around.
Residential properties in Greater Victoria are selling at a higher volume than would be expected from the annual spring surge. In March 2009 there were 602 sales, up 50 percent from February. There are many great properties for sale presently. Lower interest rates and the resulting increased affordability have really energized the entry-level housing market. It seems the market is returning to a reasonable, sustainable zone.
